Salt OS Event Highlights From Bio 2026 (San Diego)

Aber Whitcomb

Bio 2026 - Great kick off event last in downtown San Diego with the Salt AI team, Cloudera, Oracle Health, A-Alpha Bio and special thanks to the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) team including Sean Mathewson Elizabeth Kopp Morrison for hosting us on your incredible venue.
Each of our presenters complemented each other and our core theme for AI biotech - it takes a village. And notably, not a single company was a therapeutics organization or exclusively model builder.
--Sean Mathewson- Boston Consulting Group (BCG) - described the importance of human and process change to capture value.
--Bruce Wilcox - Cloudera - hammered the need for secure and governed data - especially critical in IP management for biotech.
--Christine Swisher, PhD - Oracle Health - showcased the opportunities for health data and a comprehensive software ecosystem that can support the end to end pharma value chain.
--David Younger - A-Alpha Bio - elevated the importance of novel data generation as we build models beyond text and vision LLMs.
--Nate Beyor - Salt AI - emphasized the criticality of owning context to truly differentiate in AI deployment. Companies can turn their enterprise data, internal processes, and know—how into the managed asset that sets them apart competitively.
Winning in AI will take a village - yes models, yes molecules, but much much more.
